Volteer

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please review all of the details on the Eagle County Schools Volunteer Program webpage. To complete an application, click on the "Apply for this Position" button (upper right-hand corner) on the Volunteer webpage. All volunteers also must be fingerprinted to ensure the security of our students and staff members. Once the background check is completed and the application is approved, we will contact you with the next steps.

E-mail Jenn Sassi: for more details on obtaining a background check.

Volunteering is essential to ECCA’s culture and fundamental to its success. “Parents as full partners” means the family shares in the responsibility for the success of the school. Research shows that when parents are involved, students are more motivated and ultimately more successful. The Volunteer Program at ECCA is effective due to its flexibility. Volunteer options are varied enough to accommodate the specific circumstances of each family.

It is suggested that all families volunteer six hours per month.

We hope all able families will volunteer at least six hours per month. We waive this request if it creates a hardship for a family but look for opportunities for involvement and engagement to ensure parents experience the quality of learning happening at ECCA.

Volunteer hours can be fulfilled in many different ways:

  • During School Hours: Be a driver for enrichment field trips, assist in the classroom, help set up and serve lunch, etc.
  • Weekends/Non-school Hours: Serve on a committee (Fundraising, Building Maintenance, etc.) or serve on the Board of Directors.
  • As your Schedule Allows: Other opportunities are available in the office, computer lab, library, and charter garb store, as well as assisting with landscaping.
