ECCA’s LOTTERY OPENS OCTOBER 1st
Eagle County Charter Academy is a free public school in Eagle County. Students gain admission based on a lottery that is held for admission to the subsequent school year. If you were previously on the ECCA lottery list and would like to be taken off of it, please log into your ECCA SchoolMint account and delete your application. If you have trouble logging in, feel free to contact the office for assistance.

How to Apply for the Lottery
Eagle County Charter Academy (ECCA) is a free, public school within the Eagle County School District located in Edwards, Colorado. Students gain admission based on a lottery that is held each spring for admission to the subsequent school year.
ECCA annually hosts a weighted lottery, based upon free and reduced lunch status, for incoming students every spring.
You do not need to re-enroll each year. Once enrolled, the child remains in the annual lottery drawing until you request to be removed.
To participate in the lottery, a child must be at least five years old on or before September 30 of the school year he/she is applying to enter.
Having one child attending ECCA does not automatically enter other siblings into the lottery. You will need to submit a separate application for each child.
How do I find out my lottery number?
ECCA’s lottery is conducted electronically. Families may log in to their SchoolMint account at anytime after the lottery to view their lottery number. Please do not call ECCA to find out what lottery number you received. The volume of callers can be overwhelming for the front office. Thank you for understanding.
How do lottery numbers work?
Once on the lottery list, the child will receive a new lottery number every year until a parent or guardian asks (in writing) to remove the child from the list. The child’s lottery number remains the same during the remainder of the school year for reference in case an attending student withdraws and a space becomes available mid-year.
Does ECCA still use a waitlist for admission?
The lottery system has replaced waitlist enrollment.

Ya formará parte de la lotería hasta que usted decida removerlo.
¿Cómo me entero sobre mi número de la lotería?
Usted puede estar presente cuando se lleva a cabo la lotería, pero no es necesario. Cada participante recibirá información con respecto a su número de la lotería tan pronto como sea posible por medio de email y/o mensaje de texto. Por favor sea paciente mientras espera su notificación y no llame a ECCA para averiguar su número. La cantidad de llamadas puede ser abrumadora para la recepción. Gracias por su consideración.
¿Cómo funcionan los números de la lotería?
Los niños que cumplan los requisitos para ser admitidos al Kíndergarten recibirán un número de lotería. Si son seleccionados el primer año, los niños recibirán un número de lotería nuevo (cada año) hasta que sean admitidos a la escuela de ECCA o hasta que los niños entren a escuela secundaria. Si usted quiere remover su hijo (a) de la lotería, favor de hacerlo por escrito directamente en la escuela.
