Enrichment

ECCA’s enrichment program is considered to be a pillar of our educational process and a privilege for the students. While it takes on a variety of forms at each grade level, its ultimate purpose is to provide learning through a different lens and through a different medium often unavailable within the constraints of the traditional classroom. Enrichment is grounded in experiential education and affords the opportunity for students to make the connection between classroom learning and real-life experiences. In grades K-8, we coordinate and plan for a variety of activities that connect to our Curricular goals, Character development, and Community building.

Over the years, our Enrichment program has helped students explore our valley’s past and present, go behind the scenes at Vail Mountain and the Eisenhower Tunnel, and experience local outdoor activities such as mountain biking, stand-up paddleboarding, golf, disc golf, and skiing. Community service is also a cornerstone of the program, with students supporting organizations like the Salvation Army, the Community Market, E(f)ec, and participating in highway cleanup projects.

For our older students, our enrichment program culminates in a 3-day, 2-night trip with their classmates and teachers at the end of each school year.
